How to use points

You can procure a reward from our offering at any time with your available points. You will always obtain your rewards through the e-shope-shop under “Loyalty programme”, where all you need to do is click the “Select” button and then make the relevant co-payment.

In the case of a Voucher for Admission to the Kingdom of Railways (Království železnic), just place the benefit in your shopping cart and print out the relevant voucher. When presented in the Kingdom of Railways ticket office, this will entitle you, after making a co-payment of CZK 30, to receive a one-off admission ticket for one person to tour the largest model railway not only in the Czech Republic but in all of Central and Eastern Europe.

In the case of a Voucher for Admission to the Railway Museum in Lužná u Rakovníka, place the benefit in your shopping cart and after making a co-payment of CZK 8 just print out the voucher, with which you will receive free admission for 1 adult to the museum, featuring steam locomotives of various categories and from various periods, as well as historic diesel locomotives, railcars and specimens of technical equipment on the railway.

When using a benefit for a travel document or reservation for 2nd class on a SuperCity Pendolino, click the “Select” button by the relevant benefit and complete the entire ticket purchase process including the shopping cart. Then click the “Use discount voucher or loyalty points” link and check the “Use loyalty programme points” box. The relevant discount will be calculated according to the selected benefit, and you will pay the remaining amount. After making a successful payment, the used points will be deducted.

If you want to use your points for a Group Weekend Ticket benefit in its national (Skupinová víkendová jízdenka celostátní) or regional (Skupinová víkendová jízdenka regionální) variants, then again just click on the “Select” button and in the e-shop choose the requested ticket and place it in your shopping cart. Then click the “Use discount voucher or loyalty points” link and check the “Use loyalty programme points” box. The relevant discount will be calculated according to the selected benefit, and you will pay the remaining amount. After making a successful payment, the used points will be deducted.

If you do not have the required number of available points in your loyalty account, the discount cannot be provided.

Cancellation and Refunds

1. From the perspective of provided benefits, it is not possible:

1.1. to cancel a voucher for admission to the Kingdom of Railways (Království železnic) or for admission to the Grévin Wax Museum procured with loyalty points; the voucher is issued with a 3-month term of validity; if you do not use it during the given term, the voucher is forfeited without compensation;

1.2. to cancel a voucher for admission to the Railway Museum in Lužná u Rakovníka procured with loyalty points; the voucher is issued with a 12-month term of validity; if you do not use it during the given term, the voucher is forfeited without compensation;

1.3. to cancel a voucher for a performance at the ABC and ROKOKO Theatres or the HaDivadla Theatre procured with loyalty points; the voucher is issued with a 3-month term of validity; if the customer does not use it during the given term, the voucher is forfeited without compensation;

1.4. to cancel a voucher for a ČD bicycle rental; the voucher is issued with validity until 31 October 2017; if the customer does not use it during the given term, the voucher is forfeited without compensation;

1.5. to cancel a voucher for a performance at the MeetFactory Theatre procured with loyalty points; the voucher is issued with a 6-month term of validity; if the customer does not use it during the given term, the voucher is forfeited without compensation;

1.6. to cancel a voucher for a 25% discount on the “Experience the Žďár nad Sázavou Castle” package or the voucher for a 25% discount on admission to the New Generation Museum at Žďár nad Sázavou Castle procured with loyalty points; the vouchers are issued with a 6-month term of validity; if the customer does not use it during the given term, the voucher is forfeited without compensation.

2. In the event that the customer’s right under the transport contract is exercised on a travel document purchased in the full amount by means of a standard payment method (payment card), it is only possible to exercise the request in the ČD e-shop. Submitting a request for a refund of a travel document (in part or in full) will result in the deduction (in part or in full) of the points earned for the purchase of the travel document in the extent specified in points 6.3 and 6.4. In the event of a subsequent rejection of the refund on the side of the company ČD, these deducted points will be re-credited to the customer’s loyalty account.

Example:

The customer purchased a travel document for the Prague – Olomouc route for CZK 195, thereby earning 19 points. Then, through the e-shop, the customer submits a request to exercise his or her right under the transport contract. Already at this moment, the credited points are deducted, i.e. a deduction of 19 points.

3. Exercising one’s right under the transport contract for reasons not on the passenger’s side:

3.1. In the event of an exercised right under the transport contract (a claim) for a reason not on the passenger’s side, all points earned for the purchased travel document will be deducted. Upon a positive settlement of the exercised right (claim), the points will remain deducted. In the event of a partial refund, points will be returned for the line travelled. If the claim is rejected, the points will be returned to the passenger’s loyalty account.

3.2. If the document was paid for in loyalty points, the used points will be returned in the full amount in the event of either complete or partial non-use of the travel document.

Example:

The customer travels from České Budějovice via Prague to Olomouc and purchased a travel document worth CZK 320. The customer also travels from Prague to Olomouc by SC Pendolino train, which means he or she also purchased an SC reservation for CZK 120, thus paying a total of CZK 440 for the travel document and earning 44 points. If the customer does not travel for reasons of a delay or returns to České Budějovice after missing a connection, and submits a request to exercise his or her right under the transport contract, then we will refund the full amount of CZK 440 and deduct 44 points from the customer’s loyalty account.

3.2. Partial non-use
In this case, only the points corresponding to the price of the provided service (the realised journey) will be credited back to your loyalty account. At the same time, a refund per the ČD SPPO (Part Six, letter B) will be paid out to you.

Example 1:

In the event that a customer ticketed from České Budějovice via Prague to Olomouc travels only to Prague and does not use the Prague – Olomouc journey, then he or she will have used only the České Budějovice – Prague route worth CZK 129 and exercises his or her right under the transport contract for the Prague – Olomouc segment worth CZK 191 (CZK 320 minus CZK 129) as well as for the SC reservation for the SuperCity Pendolino train worth CZK 120. 32 points are deducted from the customer’s loyalty account for the untravelled Prague – Olomouc segment, while 12 points remain for the used České Budějovice – Prague segment.

Example 2:

The customer travels from České Budějovice via Prague to Olomouc and due to an extraordinary event (e.g. a missed connection) he or she does not use the planned SC Pendolino connection; the customer thus exercises his or her right under the transport contract for the SC reservation. At this time, only the 12 points for the unused SC reservation are deducted; the other 32 points remain in the loyalty account.

4. Exercising Your Right under the Transport Contract (Claims) for Reasons on the Passenger’s Side

4.1. In the event of an exercised right under the transport contract (a claim) for reasons on the passenger’s side, all points earned for the purchased travel document will be deducted upon submission of the request. Upon a positive settlement of the exercised right (claim), the points will remain deducted; if the service charge is equal to or greater than the recognised sum then the refund will equal CZK 0. If the claim is rejected, the points will be returned to the passenger’s loyalty account.

4.2. If the document was paid for with loyalty points, then all points used will be returned if a completely unused document is returned by 24:00 (midnight) on the day preceding the first day of validity in the full number; if returning the document on its first day of validity, the points used will be returned after a service charge of 50% of the points.

Example 1:

The customer used 200 points to purchase a travel document for 2nd class for the České Budějovice – Prague – Olomouc route worth CZK 320. But he or she did not travel (the journey was cancelled):

a) If the customer exercises his or her right under the transport contract for the unused travel document by 24:00 (midnight) on the day preceding the first day of validity, then all 200 points will be re-credited to his or her loyalty account;

b) If the customer exercises his or her right under the transport contract for the unused travel document on the first day of validity, then 100 points (50%) will be re-credited to his or her loyalty account.
