A lost or stolen completed In Karta card can be blocked free of charge electronically online, by telephone at the Contact Centre (tel. 221 111 122) after entering the password to block the card, or in person in any ČD ticket office. When blocking and unblocking an In Karta card in the ticket office, you must present a piece of personal identification. In the event of the loss, theft or damage of an In Karta card and a subsequent request that a duplicate In Karta card be issued, you will receive a provisional In Karta card – a duplicate as a temporary substitute for the application that you had on the lost In Karta card. For the issue of a duplicate In Karta card, you will pay a fee in the amount of CZK 100.
How can I get an In Karta card?
In Karta card with the selected discount application, you can buy directly through the internet in the ČD e-shop or in the mobile application Můj vlak. In case of a request for the production of a plastic In Karta, you choose the station for its collection.
It is also possible to purchase an In Karta card online?
Yes, through the ČD e-shop.
The permanent In Karta card will be ready for retrieval at the station of issue for a period of three months. Thereafter, it will be blocked as unretrieved and sent to be shredded. If in serious cases (e.g. hospitalisation) you will be unable to retrieve the In Karta card even by this date, please inform us by e-mail on info@inkarta.cz.
What should I do if I lose my provisional In Karta card? Is it possible to issue a duplicate?
On the date set for issue of the permanent In Karta card, go to the station which you selected on the request form. The chip In Karta card will be issued upon presentation of identification. It is not possible to issue a duplicate provisional In Karta card.
The advantage of a chip In Karta card is that several different applications can be recorded on it during its term of validity without the need to produce a new card every time there is a change. The fact that all customer In Karta cards have the same visual appearance allows for this flexibility.
How long does it take to issue a chip In Karta card?
Processing the request, production and delivery of a chip In Karta card to the selected station takes c. 28 days. For the period of production (provided that you do not request a card in advance sales), you will receive a provisional In Karta card which will allow you to take advantage of the benefits of the relevant application (IN 25, IN 50, IN 100, IN Důchodce (“IN Pensioner”), IN Senior or commuter tickets), but it will not allow you to take advantage of benefits linked to RAILPLUS. If you intend to take advantage of the benefits of RAILPLUS already with your provisional In Karta card (travel abroad), it is possible to request that the provisional In Karta card be issued with the RAILPLUS logo, although in this case it is necessary to submit a second photograph. You can use the provisional In Karta card immediately.
